Why is the veil making a major comeback in 2026?
For a few years, we shunned it. We found it "too traditional". And then, the boho chic style came along. Today, the veil is no longer a strict symbol, it is a full-fledged fashion accessory.
It brings this vertical, almost royal dimension, even to a simple dress. For our brides who choose flowing dresses, the veil allows you to create two looks in one: mysterious and solemn for the ceremony, then free and relaxed once the veil is removed for the evening. It is the ultimate emotional accessory.
Choosing the right length (The stress-free guide)
Are you lost in the terminology? We simplify everything for you.
-
The Short Veil (Elbow or Finger Length): It stops at the middle of the back. It is the modern choice, ideal for not hiding the details of your back, especially if you are wearing a backless dress. It is light, easy to wear and never gets in the way.
-
The Waltz Veil (Mid-calf): A very boho length that dances around you without dragging on the ground. Perfect for outdoor weddings (beach, garden) to avoid picking up twigs!
-
The Cathedral Veil (3 meters and more): The big show. It extends well beyond the train of your dress. It is the one that makes spectacular photos with the wind. Our advice? Choose it if your dress has a short or medium train, to create a majestic layering effect.
Tulle and Lace: Quality above all
A veil is directly against your face and arms. The material is non-negotiable.
In our workshop, we ban "mosquito net tulle" (the one that is stiff and has large holes).
-
Our Soft Tulle: It has a heavy and silky drape. It does not puff up on the head (no meringue effect!), it flows down the body.
-
Our Lace: If you choose a bordered model (mantilla), know that the lace is applied with surgical precision. The floral patterns are chosen to recall the rustic and boho spirit of our dresses.
How does it work on the manufacturing side?
A veil seems simple: a piece of fabric and a comb. In reality, it is precision.
Since we work to order, we cut the tulle by hand to avoid any mechanical fraying.
The assembly on the comb is crucial: it must be strong to hold in your hairstyle, but discreet enough to disappear. We use metal combs (more stable than plastic) sewn by hand.
Before leaving the workshop, each veil is inspected, steamed, and carefully packaged to arrive at your home ready to be put on.
